Dr. Maggie offers in home pet euthanasia for your beloved pet.  Euthanasia is derived from Greek meaning ‘good death.’  Her aim is to provide a peaceful and loving experience as you say good-bye within the comforts of your home. We provide an option for your pets’ remains to be transported for cremation afterwards.  An ink nose print and/or paw print will be made for you to keep.

Euthanasia Appointment

Patients under 75 pounds - $190

Patients over 75 pounds - $220

Includes:

  • pre-euthanasia sedatives

  • euthanasia medications and supplies

  • nose print and/or paw print memorial

  • optional courtesy notification of appointment to established veterinarian

  • additional fees may be applied for weekend/evening appointments or urgent/same day appointments.

After-care options

  • Private Cremation

    Price includes transfer of remains to crematorium. Ashes returned in personalized wooden box (see above.)

    • 0-25 pounds - $150

    • 26-50 pounds- $160

    • 51-75 pounds- $170

    • 75+ pounds- discuss availability and pricing when scheduling an appointment.

  • Communal Cremation, ashes spread at private pet garden

    • 0-75 pounds - $50

  • Travel distance determined by location in central Springfield.

  • Springfield City Limits: $30

  • 5-20 miles: $60

  • 20-35 miles: $110

  • 35-50 miles: $180
